A judge has upheld a protection order against a funeral home demonstration in South Bend, Indiana. Evidently a family was circulating flyers against a funeral home. This is not the best course to a lower cost funeral.
I do not think it wise to start a demonstration against a Funeral home. The order of protection against the family stays in effect for three years.
From the South Bend Tribune:
“SOUTH BEND — The case of a family demonstrating displeasure with a local funeral home by protesting has, in part, been settled.
A judge on Tuesday ruled that a protective order filed by Clark O’Neal Funeral Home against the Walker family will remain in effect for the next three years.
But whether or not fliers the family has circulated are libelous to the funeral home will have to be decided at a separate damages hearing, according to St. Joseph Circuit Court Judge Michael G. Gotsch.”
