Recently there was a funeral protest demonstration in Iran
An opposition funeral demonstration was staged in Iran. The opposing political leader director asked his followers to do this. Citizens appeared in the streets and in mosques. dressed in black. this was to honor eight who were killed in opposition riots.
Eight is too high of funeral cost for a political protest.
In an effort to stop this type of funeral process and demonstration the Supreme Religous leader in that country came out in favor of the current regime.

In his first public remarks after days of demonstrations, Ayatollah Khamenei called for an end to the protests.”
Funeral Demonstration political protest is generally used in other parts of the world but not the United States.
